Brooklyn Brewery Brewmaster Garrett Oliver for Special Book Signing and Tasting

Edmund’s Oast Exchange welcomes legendary Brooklyn Brewery Brewmaster Garrett Oliver for a special book signing and tasting on Wednesday, February 28 from 4:15-5:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 and include a signed copy of The Brewmaster’s Table. Space is extremely limited.

Garrett Oliver grew up in Queens, NY and studied filmmaking at Boston University. As a student, he organized concerts for bands such as R.E.M., The Ramones, and The English Beat. After graduation, he managed bands in London and traveled throughout Europe where he got intererested in the various beer cultures. After returning to the US in 1983, he began homebrewing. In 1989, he became an apprentice brewer at Manhattan Brewing Co. and was appointed brewmaster in 1993. He left in 1994 and became brewmaster at Brooklyn Brewery, a position he has held ever since. He wrote The Brewmaster’s Table in 2003 and was editor of the 2011 Oxford Companion to Beer.
