What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes! No high-heeled or kitten-heeled
shoes allowed inside these historic homes. Tours require walking 1.5 to 2 miles within the specific neighborhoods over the four hour tour period, depending on the route you choose. The South of Broad tour runs east to west from East Battery to New Street. The AnsonboroughWraggborough Tour runs north to south from Judith Street to Hazel Street.

Where do I pick up my badges for the tours?
Thursday, March 27, 12noon-4pm, The Charleston Museum, 360 Meeting Street;
Friday, March 28, 12:30pm-4:30pm, Confederate Home & College, enter front entrance on 62 Broad Street, exit back entrance on Chalmers Street;
Saturday, March 29, 12:30pm-4:30pm, Joseph Manigault Garden, 350 Meeting Street.
Is Public Transportation available in downtown Charleston?
Yes, the City of Charleston provides free Dash shuttle routes that cover the downtown Charleston area. Please copy and paste

What can I bring into the event?
As it can be very warm during March, you may want to bring your own reusable
container of water to stay hydrated as you walk from garden to garden. We will, of
course, have bottles of water available at the Hospitality Gardens both days, but we strive
to be good stewards! Please dress appropriately for the weather. No large bags or backpacks allowed.
Is this tour handicap accessible?
These are private historic homes and gardens, so unfortunately, the tours are not able to be handicap accessible. We will have docents available to give a helping hand with steps, if needed.
Is photography allowed?
No photography is allowed in these private homes and gardens.
What’s the refund policy?
Refunds are allowed up to 30 days before each event.
Where do I pick up my tour map and badge needed for entry into the homes and gardens?
You can show either your printed ticket or an e-ticket on your mobile device to pick up your
map and badge at one of these locations:

Option One: Early pickup for either tour will be Thursday, March 27 from Noon – 4:00 pm at the
Charleston Museum Lobby, 360 Meeting Street.

Option Two: Friday, March 28 pickup is from 12:30 – 4:00 pm at the Confederate Home and College

When will I receive a map of the homes and gardens on tour?
In an effort to protect the privacy of those whose homes and gardens are on tour, maps
and complete instructions about the tour will be sent to ticket buyers via e-mail a day or
two before the start of the tour.

You may use your phone to access map during tours, if preferred. Tour Badges must be worn at all times during the tours.
Are any restrooms available for the public?
Restrooms are available at the Confederate Home and Garden on Friday and Charleston
Museum on Saturday. Please copy and paste https://www.charleston-sc.gov/1441/Public-Garage-and-Restroom-Guide for the latest information on public restrooms in downtown Charleston. City Hall on the corner of Meeting & Broad Streets has nice public restrooms. Most city parking garages have restrooms in one of the first floor corners.
