Rooks & Raven creates a defiantly unfashionable brand of American Rock. Singer Allison Forbes has a powerful rock vocal style, while songwriter Pete Ballou's world view is shaped by his boyhood obsession of absorbing new album releases from his favorite bands. The appeal of the original music they create together with the band is obvious to anyone who thinks that rock & roll reached a pinnacle in the 1970s. Collectively they have created Swamp Rock.
