Join Blue Bicycle Books, Friday, Feb. 7, 12 pm for an author luncheon with Signe Pike, best-selling author of the The Lost Queen series. 

King Arthur and his contemporaries are boldly reimagined in this “mystical, epic, and captivating” series that resurrects the real historical figures who inspired one of our most enduring legends.

Signe will be discussing the latest in the series, The Shadowed Land, in conversation with Victoria Benton Frank (My Magnolia Summer). 

Tickets are $42 for the three-course lunch. Signed copies of The Shadowed Land (Atria, hb., $29) as well as My Magnolia Summer will be available for sale at the event.

Signe Pike was born in Ithaca, NY, and graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication.  

She worked as an acquisitions editor at Random House and Penguin before writing a travel memoir entitled Faery Tale: One Woman's Search for Enchantment in a Modern World. In 2018 she published her debut novel, The Lost Queen, currently in development for television by the Emmy award-winning production company Made Up Stories. Pike has researched and written about Celtic history for over a decade. Her non-fiction has been published by SalonCharleston City Paper, Book Riot and NPR.org.

Victoria Benton Frank was born in New York City and raised in Montclair, N.J., but considers herself to have dual residency in the Lowcountry. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the French Culinary Institute. Victoria worked in restaurants in New York before returning to Charleston with her husband, two kids, and sweet pup. When she isn’t writing, she is reading, cooking, playing mahjong or chasing her children. The 2024 paperback of “My Magnolia Summer” is now available.
