82 Queen Whiskey Dinner
Thursday, June 20, 2019 • 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
On Thursday, June 20th, beloved downtown Charleston dining institution 82 Queen invite guests to enjoy a special four-course Whiskey Dinner of creative pork-centric dishes by tenured Executive Chef Steve Stone complete with carefully selected rare whiskey pairings.
The special dinner is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. with light hors d'oeuvres followed by a four-course dinner showcasing creative "head to tail" pork dishes and respective whiskey pairings for $75 per person. The dinner will start with a first course Crispy Pig Ear Salad paired with a Russell's Reserve 10 Year Old Fashion followed by a second course dish of Braised Pigs Cheek with stone ground grits, smoked tomato gravy, roasted okra and farmers cheese paired with a Knob Creek Manhattan. In their third course, guests can expect Maple-Glazed Pork Belly served over a black-eyed pea johnny cake, honey-chipotle BBQ, buttermilk creme and frizzled leeks paired with Elijah Craig Neat. Finally, the dinner will end with a dessert course of Pork Skin Churros with cinnamon sugar, salted caramel and a bourbon chocolate sauce paired with Whistle Pig Rye 10 Year Tumbler.
A portion of the sales from the Whiskey Dinner will go towards Catch Up on Lunch, a recently launched fundraising effort in partnership with local non-profit organizations The Lowcountry Blessing Box Project, I Heart Hungry Kids and the Charleston Restaurant Foundation, to help eliminate student lunch debt in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties.
The $75 per person ticket does not include tax and gratuity and only 30 tickets will be sold.
